Are Your Actions Aligned With Your Goals?

You say you want better health...
Or maybe you're going for fat loss, chasing strength PB's, attempting to 'bulk up', or get that extra bit of definition.
Whatever it is, YOUR personal goal matters. Knowing clearly what that goal is matters even more!
But here’s the real question: are your actions actually aligned with that goal?
It’s not enough to say “I want to be fitter” if your training looks like someone prepping for a bodybuilding show.
And it’s no good aiming to get lean for a holiday if your daily nutrition choices resemble someone who's competing in Strongman.
Different goals demand different approaches. And not just between people, but within your own life.
For much of the year, your focus might be 'Health & Wellness'. Eating balanced meals. Training consistently, but not obsessively. Keeping active but not adding stress to your life. This is the baseline stuff that keeps you thriving long term.
But then a certain season rolls around. Maybe it’s the 'pre summer' or more appropriately right now, pre-party season (speaking of which, have you got your JWC party tickets yet?!) Suddenly you want to look your your best.
That means nailing your nutrition, getting strict with alcohol and the usual treats, upping your training, and putting more intensity behind your efforts. During this period you may find yourself thinking "I can't keep going with this". And there's nothing wrong with that, as long as you know it’s temporary.
The trap some get caught in... Trying to live in “holiday-prep mode” all year round. It’s not sustainable, and if you push for too long, you’ll burn out, lose motivation, and probably slip backwards.
That’s why the 'exit strategy' matters just as much as the push. After this period, you need a plan to step back into 'normal' mode. Back to sustainable eating, balanced training, and a routine that supports your life, not consumes it.
So here’s the challenge: take a look at your current actions. Do they reflect your current goal? Or are you stuck doing “more” without asking why? Or wanting to achieve more but not understanding why it isn't happening?
Or maybe this challenge has made you realise you don't know what you're working towards...
When your actions match your goals and you know when to shift gears, you’ll not only get better results, but you’ll keep them.
And that’s the difference between short-term success and long-term transformation.
