How to get 'toned'

Here we go with myth number 3!
I’m willing to bet that everybody out there at some point has used the word tone with regards to their appearance?
‘I just want to tone my legs’?
‘I don’t want to lose weight, just tone my tummy’?
I would suggest that 99% of people have used it at least once when discussing their goals.
Now, when we hear the word tone, what do we think?
Making that area a little less wobbly?
Making that area a little flatter?
You would be forgiven in thinking that this is actually what it does mean…
In actual fact, TONE actually means reduce body fat and increase muscle!
If I had a pound for the number of time's I've heard "I don't want to build muscle, just tone up"
It once again brings us back to the question, are you clear on your goals?
